When you go to college there are so many things that you have to pay for besides just your tuition. You have to think about rent or money for a dorm room, food and gas among other things. One of the more expensive things that you have to purchase are college textbooks.
The price of new college textbooks is relatively high in most cases. They range anywhere from around $50 to well over $400 depending on the class and college you attend. With these high prices, you almost have to look for a deal or you will be forced to eat peanut butter the whole semester.
Fortunately there are a number of things that you can do to help cut the costs on college textbooks. The first thing you can do is to scout the bookstores for used textbooks. Unless it is a completely new book, you should be able to find used college textbooks for a fraction of the price of the new books. If you don't plan on ever using that book again, this is a good option for you.
If you have a friend who plans on taking the class, consider buying the book together. This works particularly well if you are going to take the class in different semesters so you don't have to worry about ever needing the book at the same time.
Check message boards around school to see if other students have used textbooks to sell. Some students opt to sell their books themselves because they will make more money than they would just having the bookstore buy them back.
With all the options available to you, there is no need to ever pay full price for college textbooks. You might have to search for a good deal, but a little bit of time spent searching in the beginning can save you a lot in the end.

Customer Review: Auto shut off is annoying
Seems reliable, quiet, and fast enough... but i really don't like the auto shut off feature. If you don't use it for 10 minutues it shuts down. When you try to access a file from it again, it goes back on. I could be working on a file, step away for a minute, then come back to it and save... and then it has to spin up again just to save. This takes a few seconds every time this happens, which slows me down.
Also... I am unsure of the longevity of an electronic item which is constantly going on and off. In any electronic device, a surge is sent through the device when powering up. We all know that this process of starting up is what wears electronics out, and decreases their life.
So.... if there is someone out there that knows how to turn this feature off... please let me know. I would love it if without auto shut off.

For those who never thought Disney would release a film in which Santa Claus is kidnapped and tortured, well, here it is! The full title is Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, which should give you an idea of the tone of this stop-action animated musical/fantasy/horror/comedy. It is based on characters created by Burton, the former Disney animator best known as the director of Pee-wee's Big Adventure, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, and the first two Batman movies. His benignly scary-funny sensibility dominates the story of Halloweentown resident Jack Skellington (voice by Danny Elfman, who also wrote the songs), who stumbles on a bizarre and fascinating alternative universe called ... Christmastown! Directed by Henry Selick (who later made the delightful James and the Giant Peach), this PG-rated picture has a reassuringly light touch. Customer Review: Auto shut off is annoying
Seems reliable, quiet, and fast enough... but i really don't like the auto shut off feature. If you don't use it for 10 minutues it shuts down. When you try to access a file from it again, it goes back on. I could be working on a file, step away for a minute, then come back to it and save... and then it has to spin up again just to save. This takes a few seconds every time this happens, which slows me down.
Also... I am unsure of the longevity of an electronic item which is constantly going on and off. In any electronic device, a surge is sent through the device when powering up. We all know that this process of starting up is what wears electronics out, and decreases their life.
So.... if there is someone out there that knows how to turn this feature off... please let me know. I would love it if without auto shut off.

The movie "Once" is really great, the music from it even better. Glen Hansard in particular has a very moving emotional voice, Marketa Irglova is amazing. I can't wait for them to come Keller in April.

I love the Once soundtrack, but must agree that this CD is a disappointment and offers not enough new songs to purchase. If you've got the soundtrack, you've got enough.

For those who never thought Disney would release a film in which Santa Claus is kidnapped and tortured, well, here it is! The full title is Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, which should give you an idea of the tone of this stop-action animated musical/fantasy/horror/comedy. It is based on characters created by Burton, the former Disney animator best known as the director of Pee-wee's Big Adventure, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, and the first two Batman movies. His benignly scary-funny sensibility dominates the story of Halloweentown resident Jack Skellington (voice by Danny Elfman, who also wrote the songs), who stumbles on a bizarre and fascinating alternative universe called ... Christmastown! Directed by Henry Selick (who later made the delightful James and the Giant Peach), this PG-rated picture has a reassuringly light touch. Season 3 started out with too many flashbacks and seemed to bog down at first and then... it took off with a bang and many plot twists and turns and surprises.
