The Bible of Marketing Ebooks

The ebook from Michael Cheney really is the bible when it comes to make a successful website.

I highly recommend this ebook. This should in fact be the first ebook you buy, before you start any online business. The reason that I say this is that after reading this ebook, I'm forced to make a lot of big changes to my existing websites. And this takes a lot of time. But I hope it will be worth the effort. For those of you who don't have a website yet, but want to start making one in the near future, this ebook will be absolutely essential to your success. Buy this ebook!!

The thing many webmasters do wrong with their websites, is that they start marketing a site that will not make any sales in the first place. You should first focus on how to make your site a successful selling machine. Then you can begin the marketing process.

This is what you will learn in this ebook.

You will learn four essentials that you need to get right in order to earn money from your website. This information is covered in detail in four chapters. Throughout the ebook, you will be given exercises to work through that will help you capture and internalize what you learn as you go along. The exercises really help you to understand how to implement the information in this ebook into your own website.

Next, you will learn how to announce your website on the Internet. You are guided in what you should do and often more importantly, what you should not do. For example, Michael covers in detail, "7 ways of how to drive visitors away from your site."

You can read this ebook from cover to cover the first time. Then simply refer to it every time you want to change something on your site or when you start a new site. But it's always important that you really need to apply what you have learned. Just reading the ebook and not using that information, won't make your website any better.

As a webmaster I know that doing things right the first time, without going through a lot of trial and errors, will save you a lot of time and money. So even though this ebook is priced at $197. I'm sure it will save you money buying it. I've made all the errors that one could ever make, when it comes to making a website. And I hate to think of all the money I used on all kinds of ebooks and websites in the hunt for online success. So take my word for it. This ebook will save you money!

There are also a lot of bonus products that comes with this ebook. I haven't tried any of them yet, but I'm sure that they are of the same quality that the ebook.

Customer Review: Compromises? Not In My View.

I did a fair amount of soul-searching before pulling the trigger on this purchase, in large part because of all the "compromises" apparently required to make as thin as this one is. For me, the MBA replaced a ThinkPad T-40, which has been as sturdy, consistent, and feature-laden as it is unattractive. My worry was that, though I was sure I would like the size and appearance of the MBA, maybe I would miss the T-40's feature set. Worse, I might miss a particular feature while traveling. So, I almost didn't buy the MBA.

I needn't have worried -- the MBA is simply incredible. As others have mentioned, the case is quite sturdy. Apple's engineers ingeniously relied on some of the internal components themselves as part of the skeleton for the case. This sounds scary, except that they were designed to serve both functions. The keyboard is crisp and comfortable (and keep in mind that I'm coming from a very well-regarded keyboard in the ThinkPad). The trackpad gestures more than make up for all of the extra keys the ThinkPad has. Although it takes some getting used to, the three-finger swipe, the two finger "right-click", pinching/expanding, etc., are all intuitive, comfortable, and fairly addictive. I've even started missing them on my desktop. The screen is really impressive -- a *big* improvement from my previous laptop. And battery life has been just fine -- definitely not the advertised five hours, but consistently well over three.

What do I miss? Honestly, not much. I've started using downloaded movies when I travel, including iTunes rentals. They all look just as good as a DVD did (on a laptop, at least) and are better for battery life. When I use an external mouse, I use a Bluetooth wireless model, so it doesn't take up the USB port. I was never a battery-swapper anyway, so that's not an issue. (I'll probably gripe about the built-in battery every couple of years when I replace it, then forget it the rest of the time.) And I can't save everything I have on the hard drive, though it holds everything that I would ever need on-the-go. I don't even miss the Ethernet port, as I travel with an Airport Express, and have for years. For me, the only real downside is the speed of opening applications. Opening most apps is noticeably and annoyingly slower than with my desktop (or, presumably, than all of the other Apple notebooks). However, once open, they do just fine. I now leave them open, which Apple says is fine, and speed is more than adequate.

As a disclaimer, I should mention that I'm a lawyer, so my usage doesn't involve heavy graphic or media work. I tend to run the Microsoft Office suite, Safari, iTunes, iPhoto, watch movies, and use the internet. For those types of things, the MBA comfortably meets my needs. I've even added VM Ware's Fusion program (running Windows XP) and, once loaded, it does the job as well. A speed demon this computer isn't, but if you use general productivity software and Apple's consumer applications, you'll probably be very happy.

Customer Review: Great companion laptop

I have been looking for a computer to write with, going through a few different computers before finally settling on this one. The pluses and minuses have been covered well by all the great reviews here.

The computer itself is fantastic. What it lacks in ports, drives, battery life, etc it makes up for in quality bones. The screen is easily the best screen on any Mac laptop (this is something of a lottery though, and some airs are given better screens then others), and the build quality is also the best of any mac laptop imo. It feels sturdy in your hands, and the weight is just right.

Multitouch allows you to stop using the trackpad button altogether (and you'll never miss the 2nd button again). The keyboard backlight is very bright if needed, and is especially effective with the black keys. I use it with a network desktop/server so disk space doesn't matter to me. Also, I like the 1.6 b/c it's noticeably cooler than the 1.8 and the fans seem to run several hundred rpms lower on avg.

Overall, this is a good second computer. A LOT of people have had problems with their macbook airs, esp fan/heat issues. Proceed with caution, and assume there is a good chance you will need to exchange it (perhaps multiple times as some people have had to do). If you are willing to risk those issues, the potential reward can be worth it. It is a pleasure to use in bed w/ the lights out.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire brings back Harry, Ron, and Hermione for more adventure! Harry is mysteriously selected as the fourth contestant in the dangerous Triwizard Tournament. Each competitor in the international competition must confront a fire-breathing dragon, rescue friends from the icy depths of the Black Lake, and navigate the twisting mysteries of a vast, dangerous maze. It may sound difficult, but Harry is older, wiser and more skilled now. Still, even he isn't ready for another show with the evil Lord Voldemort himself!

Customer Review: Controls not explained!

Let me start off with the good things:

-the graphics are phenomenal

-you can choose your character

Now, the bad things:

-unlike the other HP games, you CANNOT wander around the Hogwarts grounds, which I enjoyed.

-The mouse has NO action whatsoever, not even in the main menu!

-I get stuck on so many levels, because most controls are NOT EXPLAINED! Not even in the manual!

-your "friends" (whoever you're not playing with) are so slow in following you and are almost always occupied with sneezing or wandering around when you need help so badly!

-I tried to install this game for one full year and never got it to install until I did some tricky things

Overall, I would have rated this game five stars if the bad things were fixed.

I think that EA Games was just porting over a Play Station game (I can tell by the graphics style) and not bothering to make it anymore convenient. EA did a poor job here. I would sort of recommend this game.

Customer Review: The worst. Period.

I LOVED the first four (SS, CoS, TPoA, and QWC) games.

The first one was a little too easy (I beat it in three days after some practice), the second one being a bit too hard (I have a fear of fire snails), the Third one and Quiddich World Cup being perfect.

When I bought the first game I was expecting another GREAT game. But here is what I got: graphics that were grainy, NO exploring, and no fun trunks with goodies. it was a HARD game, and i'm still stuck on the second task. I can't believe I decided to buy PetVet later because I wanted this. Here's hoping you can explore in the fifth one.

Lush Life: A Novel

Lush Life: A Novel

So, what do you do?” Whenever people asked him, Eric Cash used to have a dozen answers. Artist, actor, screenwriter . . . But now he’s thirty-five years old and he’s still living on the Lower East Side, still in the restaurant business, still serving the people he wanted to be. What does Eric do? He manages. Not like Ike Marcus. Ike was young, good-looking, people liked him. Ask him what he did, he wouldn’t say tending bar. He was going places—until two street kids stepped up to him and Eric one night and pulled a gun. At least, that’s Eric’s version.

In Lush Life, Richard Price tears the shiny veneer off the “new” New York to show us the hidden cracks, the underground networks of control and violence beneath the glamour. Lush Life is an Xray of the street in the age of no broken windows and “quality of life” squads, from a writer whose “tough, gritty brand of social realism . . . reads like a movie in prose” (Michiko Kakutani, The New York Times).

Customer Review: Great writing, great dialogue from a master!

This is a book that begins with tight, meaningful dialogue and not much description. I understand why some of the early reviewers found this difficult, but after reading it myself I realized that it takes more concentration than the average work of fiction, and that like Elmore Leonard whose ear for dialogue is pitch perfect Price has used some of the same tricks. I had the opportunity to listen to parts of the audio book read by Bobby Carnavalle, and found immediately that his voice and actor's presence added so much more to the story and it became much easier to follow. It is one of the few times that I have found an audio book that brings a story to life so vividly that I decided, even though I have read the entire book myself I intend to listen to it on audio just to see what I might have missed.

"Lush Life" is destined to become a classic even though some reviewers consider it a genre novel it is the kind of literature that transcends a neat little box. The characters are alive, the settings drawn with minimalist neatness, and with a plot that has more twists and turns than the ordinary mystery or thriller. Price just seems to get better and better with each new book. He is definitely one writer that I wait anxiously for his next book, he is that good.

Customer Review: Underrated

LUSH LIFE is much better than what you might conclude from many of the other Amazon reviews. I don't know what some readers expect from Price, but it must be much more than the average reader expects from, say, Elmore Leonard, because LUSH LIFE is much better than Leonard's recent output although not nearly so well received. Maybe it's because all people expect from Leonard is entertainment, whereas Price for some reason is thought to be aspiring to serious literature.

I frankly don't know whether or not Price really does aspire to be a "great novelist". I do know that what he writes are literate entertainments of near the first order. True, some of his plots might be somewhat flawed, although LUSH LIFE cannot be as readily critized on this score as "Freedomland" and "Samaritan". But the depictions of gritty urban life and the renderings of street dialogue are pretty damn realistic and, within my reading experience, as good as contemporary American fiction has to offer. With regard to his dialogue and comparisons to Leonard, Leonard's dialgoue is more hip and perhaps even wittier (although I think it often reflects the wit of the author rather than any actual person), but Price's dialogue is more realistic.

In LUSH LIFE, the setting is the multi-cultural Lower East Side of Manhattan. The plot revolves around the police investigation of a street-shooting/murder of a young actor-wannabe, Ike Marcus. At first the police zero in on Marcus's companion Eric Cash, but they soon realize that he is innocent (although only after alienating him as their one true eye-witness). Thence begins a tedious search for the proverbial needle-in-a-haystack and only through luck do the police nab the true culprit. The two principal police detectives, Matty Clark and Yolanda Bello, are the two heros and most memorable characters of the book (especially Yolanda). Somewhat unusual these days, the police are not corrupt; to the contrary, they are dedicated, hard-working, compassionate, and at times even brilliant, although Clark's and Bello's superiors are unduly and adversely influenced by bureaucratic politics.

But the plot really is secondary, as are the characters. The point is that both plot and characters are strong enough to provide the stage for a highly entertaining and literate portrayal of the Streets of Manhattan, circa 2005. I am torn between awarding 4 or 5 stars. Because it looks like the book is being underrated, I opt for giving it 5.

The Magic School Bus: In a Beehive

The Magic School Bus: In a Beehive
Customer Review: Very entertaining! My preschooler can't get enough of it.

This is the very first Magic School bus video I bought for my 3.5 year old. He loves it. He watches it again and again. Now he is hooked on Magic school bus videos. The video shows where honey comes from in an entertaining way that captured his attention. An educational video that invites him to wanting to learn more about it.

Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump
The Academy Award winner for Best Picture, Best Director Robert Zemeckis, and Best Actor Tom Hanks, this unlikely story of a slow-witted but good-hearted man somehow at the center of the pivotal events of the 20th century is a funny and heartwarming epic. Hanks plays the title character, a shy Southern boy in love with his childhood best friend (Robin Wright) who finds that his ability to run fast takes him places. As an All-Star football player he meets John F. Kennedy; as a soldier in Vietnam he's a war hero; and as a world champion Ping-Pong player he's hailed by Richard Nixon. Becoming a successful shrimp-boat captain, he still yearns for the love of his life, who takes a quite different and much sadder path in life. The visual effects incorporating Hanks into existing newsreel footage is both funny and impressive, but the heart of the film lies in its sweet love story and in the triumphant performance of Hanks as an unassuming soul who savors the most from his life and times. --Robert Lane

Customer Review: Great Service

The Service was great. Movie got Here with no problems. Will order from here again.

Customer Review: This DVD is like a box of chocolates

One of the greatest films of all time... and definitely one of the two best Tom Hanks performances EVER! The other, of course, is Philadelphia... with a close third for "Cast Away". My opinion, of course.

I highly recommend this film for everyone. Male, female; young, old; conservative or liberal. Everyone will find something in this film to relate to and love.

Customer Review: Outstanding

I'm going to get right to the point. This book is great. It does exactly what it claims, and nothing less. It's a perfect introductory guide to geocaching, but I'm sure experienced cachers can gain something from it also. It is informative, well written, and purposeful. I also would like to pmention that it is the official guide book of [...], the company that runs [...]. Lastly, I would like to point out that the only 2 bad reviews of this book that were posted at the time that I'm writing this are from someone that didn't receive the book in the mail and therefore is angry at amazon (why they take it out on THIS book, i have no idea), and some PhD in psych that cant even read a map (she admits this in her post)... go figure. In closing, I am very satisfied with this book and am glad that this is the guidebook I chose to help get me started with geocaching. Happy Hunting

Customer Review: Excellent introduction to geocaching

Bought this as a present for my father who is a geography teacher and has just gotten into geocaching as a hobby. An excellent introductory guide to the hobby, easy to read and entertaining.

Before I left for BlogHer, I made a photo book with my favorite recent photos of my kids so that if anyone I met while I was there asked about my kids, I could whip out my cool photo book and show them off. The lovely ladies at BlueSuitMedia very, VERY generously sent me a $50 Gift card to the supercenter near my house that has an HP Photo center, so I could get started. My first task was to figure out how to get the photos I wanted onto my camera card so I could take it to the store. I upload

HP Photo Books-Easy to make but not soak-proof

Sat, 26 Jul 2008 19:00:58 -0700
Before I left for BlogHer, I made a photo book with my favorite recent photos of my kids so that if anyone I met while I was there asked about my kids, I could whip out my cool photo book and show them off. The lovely ladies at BlueSuitMedia very, VERY generously sent me a $50 Gift card to the supercenter near my house that has an HP Photo center, so I could get started. My first task was to figure out how to get the photos I wanted onto my camera card so I could take it to the store. I upload
